Russ is well known for his track record of vision, imagination, innovation, execution and relationship development over his 30+ years of commercial aviation experience. He has shaped businesses both strategically and operationally over his extensive executive career; spanning new engine and MRO sales, marketing and product/solution development. He has proven experience in diverse, cross-cultural organizational development. Russ is an authentic, convincing and committed team player.
Russ is acknowledged as a creator of leading growth and business development strategies and is a recognized global marketing and sales organization leader. He has consistently driven paradigm shifting MRO products and strategies to drive down the cost of ownership for his customers.
His P&L experiences include profitably expanding an MRO business through upgrading talent, modernizing facilities and expanding sales. This included conceiving, executing and launching a green field engine MRO facility from business planning, funding, site selection and industrialization.
Russ’ focus on interpreting what is meant versus what is said enables him to quickly and holistically grasp the issues and problems which need to be solved. His complex problem solving and project skills provide the expertise to assemble the elements of solutions which enable him to consistently identify the dramatic differences, overt benefits and reasons for his customers to believe in his solutions.

Co-creator of GE Aviation’s engine overhaul rate per hour product; which today represents over 1000 engine shop visits per year and a backlog in excess of $200B.

Created material asset management programs for leading global airlines which provided dramatically improved engine turnaround times and a reduced need for spare engines.

Creator of the GE Aviation “Commercial Consultant” organization and “Commercial Masters” program to improve the overall competency of the commercial organization.

Coordinated with Boeing to develop the MRO support plan during the development and launch of the 787.

Supported the launch of the GE “Experienced Commercial Leadership Program”, then led the program for all of GE’s technical businesses.
